The Women’s Awards: Celebrating and Recognising our Black Female Winners Since 2017

Black women have always been trailblazers. From science to sports, activism to the arts. Black women have transformed industries, made their mark, and laid the groundwork for the future.

While this is empowering to see, are we giving them the recognition they deserve?

This is one of the reasons I started The Women’s Awards 8 years ago – to give women of all cultures, communities, races, and beliefs, in all sectors, the chance to SHINE and shout about the outstanding contribution they are making within their communities.

Just under 2 weeks ago we celebrated the annual Women’s Awards event at the wonderful IXL Events Centre…what a night it was! To continue the celebrations, I wanted to take this opportunity during Black History Month to recognise some of our Black Female winners of The Women’s Awards over the past 8 years and share their remarkable achievements with you:
