I am delighted to have been invited to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace recently. It was a wonderful experience indeed. Most importantly for me was that I was able to share this experience with my husband and daughter.
I met some people that I knew there and others who I didn’t but have only read about in the media. For example Professor Brian Cox. I had a very brief conversation with him, and Rose Josephine Hudson-Wilkin, MBE, QHC, who I was able to get a photo taken with.
I also saw Princess Beatrice, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Catherine from a distance.
What made the day for me was the range of people from all walks of life and experiences, meeting some of my friends, which is always wonderful and even more so when you’re not expecting it, and how friendly and happy everyone was.
The staff were also very warm, friendly, and amazingly helpful. They clearly enjoy their jobs. You’ll see these photos in the video also.
As you can imagine we took lots of photos to commemorate the occasion and I’m sharing some of those here in this little video with you.
