As the year draws to a close and Christmas approaches, I find myself pausing to reflect on the conversations and moments of growth that have shaped this past year.
Leadership coaching is deeply human work, built on trust and honesty, and this year has been a reminder of just how much strength leaders carry, even when they doubt themselves.
Many leaders came into our conversations feeling stretched or unsure, wondering if they were doing enough or being enough. What I witnessed time and again was resilience, care for others and a genuine desire to lead well.
This year reinforced how important clarity has become in leadership. When the pace is fast and expectations are high, leaders need moments to slow down, ask better questions and regain perspective. Some of the most powerful shifts I saw came from small, intentional adjustments. A clearer conversation. A boundary that protected energy. A decision made with confidence rather than urgency.
I have also been reminded of the importance of connection. Leadership can feel lonely at times, particularly at senior levels.
Creating safe spaces where leaders can speak openly, reflect honestly and feel supported remains at the heart of my work. This year, that sense of connection has been strengthened through The Women’s Awards , SHINE Together, and Leading With Light communities, where leaders came together to share experiences, recognise success, learn from one another and feel less alone in their leadership. It is in these spaces that new possibilities begin to take shape, and I am honoured to have seen the impact these communities continue to make. Watch this space for 2026, big things are coming!
As Christmas arrives, I want to say thank you to the leaders who trusted me with their reflections and challenges, and the wonderful community I surround myself with.
My hope for every leader reading this is that you allow yourself a moment of appreciation. For your effort. For your care. For the impact you have had, even when it may not have been fully visible.
As we look ahead to the new year, I remain committed to supporting leaders to lead with clarity, confidence and humanity, whether that is through my training programmes or executive coaching.
For now, I wish you a peaceful Christmas and space to recharge with those who matter most.Thank you for being part of this year. I look forward to what the next one brings.
