ChatGPT – My Thoughts and Reflections

Over the past weekend I did a two-day course learning how to use ChatGPT. I must admit it’s taken a while for me to put aside both the hype and the list of concerns. I thought I should find out about it for myself.

The course I did was a bootcamp run by WinTrade Global, and trainer Cyndie Thompson. I would highly recommend it. If you’d like more information please drop me a line. It’s well worth the time.

ChatGPT can speed up the time I take on doing many tasks and can be particularly useful if you run a small business or project. Here are my key takeaways for ways it can be used that benefit me:

Marketing & Content Creation
Small businesses often struggle with content creation due to limited time and resources. ChatGPT can help you generate things like blog posts, social media captions, email campaigns, and ad copy, which can help you develop and maintain a consistent online presence.

Streamlined Operations & Productivity
It can also be used to automate some of your admin tasks, help you summarise long reports and generate meeting notes. This helps you save time and stay organised. It can also assist in writing contracts, job descriptions, and business proposals.

Enhanced Decision-Making & Strategy
Ever struggled with the idea of assessing or analysing market trends or coming up with ideas on articulating your business strategies? How about getting insights on competitors? This tool can help you with these things as well.

Cost-Effective Customer Support
ChatGPT can handle customer inquiries 24/7, reducing the need for a full-time support team. It can answer FAQs, assist with troubleshooting, and even help with order tracking, improving response times and customer satisfaction. I haven’t tried this last set as yet but I’m planning to give some of these options a try.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, you still need to apply your due diligence to any information provided by ChatGPT. You should take responsibility for what you decide to use and ensure that you read through the information provided. The app is not you, not your client(s) and not human. To just copy and paste is both lazy and unprofessional. Doing that will may get you into lots of trouble. But the app can help you decipher information more quickly. If you have dyscalculia it can help you get to grips with the numbers.

We looked at and practiced several of other Apps which are also amazing. There is so much more. Maybe I’ll keep you updated as I learn how to use AI more.
