Your Organisation’s Competitive Edge

Every organisation no matter its size is looking for a competitive advantage and here is where it truly lies in today’s competitive and employee aware environment.

What talented people are more concerned with is the quality of your organisation’s environmental culture.

The best leaders don’t just create results, they also know that creating a safe culture will create employee stability and retention, loyalty and commitment from people who want to stay.

Your behaviour, your attitude and your leadership style directly impacts on the culture around you. As a leader you are creating the culture.

  • Are you a reactive? Then you’re likely recreating a tense culture.

  • Are you inconsistent? Then what you’re creating is instability.

  • In contrast if you are clear, consistent and emotionally steady; if you listen and encourage the participation of all your team members, what you will create is a culture and environment where people will feel valued, respected and willing to give their best. It’s in this type of culture and environment that people want to work in and to give their best.

We’ve all heard the saying “money talks “and that is correct but what talks louder in the world of organisational representation is how people are made to feel consistently in the workplace.

An organisation that wants to attract the most talented people needs to realise that a psychologically safe environment, a culture of respect and value of every individual, not just those at senior levels is now considered an employee benefit.

And if your organisation is successful in this it will be successful in finding and keeping the best talent.

  • How do your employees and customers talk about your organisation?

  • What is their experience?

  • Are you building your competitive advantage or killing it?

If you would like to explore how your leadership style is shaping your culture, and how to build an environment that attracts and retains exceptional talent, I invite you to book a call.

Together we can look at practical, sustainable ways to strengthen your culture from the inside out.
