VIDEO: Insight Hour – Understanding and supporting Black employees affected by domestic abuse

I’m pleased to have taken part and moderated an online webinar on understanding and supporting Black employees affected by domestic abuse.

In this Insight Hour, we raise awareness of Black experiences of domestic abuse and help to equip employers to support Black employees affected by abuse.

We heard from specialist support services, inclusive employers, survivors, and independent experts. We discussed barriers to disclosure for Black employees, the impact of systemic racism in workplaces and institutions, cultural nuances, and how employers can respond proactively and effectively.
