I recently had the amazing opportunity to take part in a webinar during Black History Month (BHM) in October 2023, the title of which was Black Excellence in Leadership: Empowering Change in the VAWG Sector. The webinar event was an internal event for Safelives, the Drive Partnership, Social Finance, and Respect, and it will be an incredibly insightful session.
The webinar delved deeply into the experiences, stories, and accomplishments of Black professionals who have shown exceptional leadership in addressing violence against women and girls. We will explore the intersectionality of race, gender, and violence; aiming to foster a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by Black individuals within the VAWG sector.
The panel was Chaired by Meena Kumari, Founder and director of H.O.P.E. Training Consultancy.
