How many of us have had dreams that have been with us for years? Maybe even from the time, we were children?
I’m sure, like me you have.
One of my dreams has been to publish my own magazine. The idea has come up time and again during my career but never quite hit the right moment. Until now.
I’m excited to share with you the launch of SHINE Magazine, which has been many years in the making. The objective of the magazine, like other things I’ve been working on over the past many years, is to create a space for us the hear the voices of women everywhere.
The Women’s Awards was created not only to celebrate female achievement, raise both their profiles and confidence levels, but also to showcase the amazing contribution women continue to make to our society, communities, and economy.
Last year, I took the opportunity to bring women together online through the SHINE Network which continues to grow from strength to strength. Witnessing the results of this spurred me on to consider what other opportunities I can bring into play to support this growing community. And my dream to publish a magazine returned to my heart, so here it is.
At this point in time, SHINE Magazine will be issued quarterly online. Let’s be real, doing this way will keep costs down whilst ensuring that the high quality is maintained.
We have articles from women not only in the UK but across the world. Yes, it’s global and this will continue. And the age range of contributors is from 16 to 80. I’m passionate about hearing what women have to say on every subject, so you never know what we will read in the coming months.
I really must give a huge basket of thanks to David Major, Director of Creative Direction, and his amazing team, who’ve worked with me to make this happen.
As I always say, we may be given the dream but it doesn’t always mean that it’s meant for us to accomplish on our own. I am so grateful to the many women who’ve written articles and the advertisers who’ve joined me in this exciting new venture.
So why not get reading. Follow the link below. SHINE is bringing more than just good stories. It brings a uniquely female perspective.
Let me know what you think of this first issue. You can subscribe to ensure that you don’t miss it.
