Helping Yourself One Change At A Time

We’re all looking for ways to improve ourselves and get through this current situation as well as we can.

It’s not clear to any of us just how long we will be working through this process of the Covid-19 virus and its personal, national, and global impact.

We don’t know we’re here and we have to find ways to keep our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing in tip-top condition, the best way we can.

Sometimes, it’s the simple things that can make the best changes.  My suggestion is that you make one change at a time.

If you haven’t already done so, start with one change that you can bring into your life that you can focus on doing regularly.

I love walking and have tried to take myself for a brisk 40 minutes was at least three times a week.  I’ll admit to not always managing to fit it in with my busy schedule but it’s on my list of things that I do to improve my well-being.  As you know, a fit body helps us to maintain a fit might. The whole concept of fit may well be different for each person, depending on their abilities, age, gender, etc.  The point is to find something that works for you, or at least gives you an easy way to start.

On this point, I thought I’d share my latest addition to my plan to help maintain my well-being.

Yes, I’ve taken up bike riding again.  When our children were younger we did this more often, but with them having grown up and out of the house our bikes have sat idle in the garage.  So, recently I’ve got back on my bike.

I may still be a little wobbly but I’ve made a point to either go walking or riding and it’s lots of fun.

What one thing have you added to your activities to support your well-being during the lockdown period?
